Roslyn Farm and Vineyard
October 31, 2026. Last year we reported that the renovated Oakencroft Winery was the closest winery to downtown Charlottesville. Today, I stand corrected. Roslyn Farm and Vineyard is just a little over 4 miles from downtown. When you stumble on it on the West side of busy Hydraulic Road, across from townhomes and apartments, you may be amazed that a 60-acre working farm can exist in the middle of suburban sprawl. There is an immediate calm and quiet when you enter their driveway. Go right and you will come to the 1938 manor house at the head of a tree-lined lane. This is the focal point of the Farm, where two of the Farm’s business ventures operate: the events venue for weddings and larger gatherings, and the Bed and Breakfast.
